Dietbird Guide - Nourishing with Science and Precision.
The search for the ideal diet for an animal is a science that combines knowledge of the specie’s wild behavior with ongoing health monitoring in captivity. However, it is crucial to remember that each individual is unique. Therefore, this guide was created to serve as a solid foundation, helping you understand your psittacine’s specific needs by taking into account its species and its energy budget (activity level). Furthermore, we explain in detail the logic used by Dietbird to perform its calculations, offering full transparency on how the diets are generated.
Guide to Candling Psittacines - NUTEC PARROT
This guide features an unprecedented distinction: it is the only one developed specifically for psittacines, using exclusively real images of these bird’s eggs — not photographs of chicken or duck eggs, which have different development and characteristics.
It contains high-resolution photographic images of a Mealy Amazon Parrot (Amazona amazonica) egg, candled during an artificial incubation period lasting between 22 and 23 days (with a natural average hatch time of 27.5 days). The images contained here can be extrapolated to other psittacine species and serve as an accurate parameter for determining embryonic development stages. Variations may be observed due to the angle of light during candling and the specific developmental characteristics of each species.
